Kerivah
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
This is a translation. The Portuguese version is the one written under the law that governs it, and prevails where the two disagree.
Kerivah sends quotes by notification, at the times you choose. This page explains what data that takes, why each piece is needed, who it is shared with, and how you erase all of it.
It is written to be read. If any part of it is unclear, that is our failure — write to kerivahapp@gmail.com.
What we do not do
Worth starting here, because it answers most of the questions.
- There are no ads, and there will not be. Kerivah is paid for precisely so that it does not need them.
- There is no tracking. The app ships with no behavioural analytics, no audience measurement and no advertising SDK.
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, under any circumstances.
- We build no advertising profile of you, here or anywhere else.
- We do not access your location, your contacts, your photos, your camera or your microphone.
- We never see your card details. Payment happens entirely inside the App Store or Google Play.
What we collect, and why
Each item below exists because some part of the app does not work without it. Nothing is collected "in case it turns out useful".
| Data | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Your email | It is your account. It is how you sign in, how you recover access, and what carries your quotes and settings to a new device. |
| Your time zone | So that "8 in the morning" means 8 in the morning where you are, not where the server is. |
| Your preferences | Language, themes, tone, delivery window, frequency, days of the week and sound. The whole configuration of what you receive and when. |
| Your favourites | The quotes you saved to read again. |
| Your delivery history | Which quotes have reached you and when. It is what stops the app repeating one, and the only reason it keeps this. |
| Your device's notification address | An identifier Google or Apple give your device. Without it there is no notification — it is literally where the quote is sent. |
| Your subscription | Whether it is active, which plan, and until when. It comes from the store, not from you. |
Who we share it with
Nobody who is not needed for the app to work. These are every company involved, and what each one sees:
| Company | What for |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Holds your account and the database. |
| Vercel | Hosts the servers the app talks to. |
| Google (Firebase) | Delivers the notifications to your device. |
| Google or Apple | Only if you choose to sign in with their account. Then we receive your email and your name; your password never passes through us. |
| Google Play | Process the subscription and the payment. |
| Resend | Sends the confirmation and account-recovery emails. |
Where the data lives
In the United States, in the Oregon region. This is an international transfer, and it happens because the infrastructure this app runs on is there — the alternative is latency that would delay every quote.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. When you delete the account, we delete your preferences, your favourites, your history and your devices' notification addresses along with it.
What survives are payment records, which tax law requires to be kept, and those stay with the store — not with us.
How to delete your account
Inside the app: Settings → Delete my account. It is immediate and asks for no reason.
If you prefer, write to kerivahapp@gmail.com from the account's own address. We erase everything within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
Your rights
Brazil's data protection law (LGPD, Law 13.709/2018) guarantees you, over your own data:
- To know whether we hold any data of yours, and which.
- To obtain a copy of it.
- To correct anything wrong or out of date.
- To erase the data and the account.
- To take your data to another service.
- To withdraw any consent you have given.
To exercise any of them the route is the same: kerivahapp@gmail.com. We answer within 15 days.
Notifications
They are the reason the app exists, and you still command them: you can switch them off, pause them for a while, and choose the hours and the days. The app needs a connection to receive them — a notification does not reach a disconnected device, and no setting changes that.
Children
Kerivah is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you are responsible for a child and believe they created an account, write to kerivahapp@gmail.com and we will erase it.
Changes to this policy
If it changes in a way that affects you, we say so inside the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page says when it was last revised.
