How to delete your account and your data
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This page explains how to delete your Kerivah account and what happens to your data when you do.
In the app — immediate
- Open Kerivah.
- Tap Settings in the bottom bar.
- Scroll to the end and tap Delete my account.
- Confirm. We do not ask why.
Deletion happens at once. There is no waiting period and no deactivated account sitting around in case you change your mind.
By email — within 30 days
- Write to kerivahapp@gmail.com.
- Send it from the account's own email address — that is how we confirm the account is yours.
- Ask for deletion. No form, no reason needed.
We erase everything within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
What is deleted
Everything below goes in a single operation. There is no half-deleted state.
- Your account and your email address, along with how you sign in — password or Google link.
- Your preferences: delivery window, frequency, tone, tracks and time zone.
- Your favourites and collections.
- Your history of received quotes.
- Your devices' notification tokens.
- Our database record of your subscription.
- Any coupons you redeemed.
- Quotes already scheduled and not yet sent.
What continues to exist
Two things survive, and neither is your content:
- If an administrator ever acted on your account — granting access, for instance — an audit record remains, holding the date and an internal identifier. It holds no email, no quotes and no favourites, and it exists so that no administrative action becomes invisible afterwards.
- Routine database backups, kept by our provider for a short period and overwritten automatically. We do not consult them after a deletion.
The catalogue of quotes is neither yours nor about you: it is the application’s content and stays where it was.
If you subscribe, cancel at Google Play too
Deleting your account does not cancel the subscription. Billing is handled by Google Play, which is independent of us and never learns of your request.
Cancel at Google Play → Menu → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions.
If you delete the account before cancelling, billing continues until the end of the period you paid for.
